Executive Director, Michael D Hellowell
Michael Hellowell had a Grammar School education and then became an apprentice with British Aircraft Corporation (now British Aerospace), gaining a higher Nationai Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1964.
He spent a year lecturing in Mechanical Engineering and after some years in marketing and management with Gallenkamp. a wellknown British scientific instrument company he became a member of the institute of Marketing and a fellow of the Institution oi Saees and Marketing Management.
Since 1967 he has specialised in suppiying scientific and general teaching equipment overseas and has gained wice experience. particularly in North Africa. South East Africa and the Americas. Before founding Intercam in l978. he was a director of Tecquipment in Nottingham and a co—founder and director of the Education and Science Division of Associated British Machine Tool Makers (ABMTM) in Cambridge. Intercam became a member of the Mitchell-Cotts Group in late 1979. and shortly after that he formed Eurotech.
As managing director of Eurotech Associates. Michael plays a leading role in all aspects of its promotion and marketing. He strongly believes in meeting clients on their own territory and consequently spends a large amount of time travelling overseas.
His experience has made him aware of the importance of a total project approach with emphasis on education and installation. and capable of managing such an approach.
